Intensive Russian Strikes Eliminate Electricity Throughout Kyiv

Energy infrastructure targeted in the region
The country's power facilities have come under escalating attacks in the past few days

During the night, Moscow's missile and drone strikes have resulted in blackouts in extensive areas of Ukraine's capital, the Ukrainian capital.

A number of civilians were hurt while residents in eastern districts were experienced blackouts and encountered problems to water supplies, according to city officials.

Simultaneously, a seven-year-old child was fatally injured in a different assault in the southeastern region in the southern area, as reported by local officials.

Moscow has intensified assaults on power infrastructure over the past few days, while the country's government has called for "real steps" from allies to apply pressure on Russia.

"What is required is not window dressing but firm measures - from the United States, the EU and the G7 - in providing protection systems and enforcing penalties," he wrote in a online statement.

Authorities reported that 450 drones and several dozen projectiles attacked Ukraine's energy infrastructure, describing such assaults as "cynical and calculated" and against "everything that sustains normal life" as temperatures become colder.

Energy officials said Moscow was "inflicting a massive strike" and repair crews were striving to repair systems.

A barrage of missiles damaged power facilities and residential structures in Kyiv.

Five out of the nine people wounded in the strikes on the city have been hospitalized, as confirmed by municipal representatives.

Regional authorities said the urban area endured significant strikes during nighttime hours. A minor died and multiple civilians were hurt.

The attacks come after evenings of bombing campaigns in the region, sections of which are currently controlled by invading troops.

The entire country is in a state of readiness for advanced weapon attacks, which are tougher to detect.

National leaders told the media that Moscow was purposely seeking to destroy the country's energy grid, with assaults already affecting energy systems.

He said energy workers and authorities were bracing for further attacks.
